Having distant relatives overseas tends to bring you unexpected surprises. Like today when I went to get the mail and found a notice of parcel delivery. Having no clue what it was I went to the post office to get it. What I got was a 12 kg package the size of a PC.
First thing I did was read the stickers to see where it's from. Turned out to be one of my aunts.
After peeling off the trash bag wrapper I came upon a cardboard box with Cyrillic writing on it.
When I opened the box I discovered that it was full of what at first glance looked like flyers.
Closer inspection revealed they were actually model car parts with instructions.
I am guessing this is the main instruction sheet that also shows what this is suppose to be. A GAZ M20 Pobeda! This thing has got to be at least 1/12 scale.
After doing some research I think this is it. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!
1/8 scale Russian model. I guess the company sells parts biweekly along with a magazine. There are total 100 magazines. I think I only got half of them. Perhaps I should expect another package?
That was definitely a pleasant surprise.

Building a model in russian! I suspect you'll know some russian swear words by the end of that task! Very cool unique gift.
